Up before dawn this pleasant summer morn, my casual daily stroll across the Web in search of delightful news for blog content seemed somehow to be just another glorious day of fatuous bliss. In these serene Orwellian days when change is actually much more of the same, hope is actually despair, and transparency is actually opacity, headlines are rife with eager potential for more thought crimes against the Ministry of Truth and the Big Brother Administration. In my earnest quest to reach the elusive Room 101 or at least a secluded joycamp, all the usual questions pervaded my impure mind. Where is John Galt? What would Winston Smith do? Why IS the constitution bad? Then, without warning, just over the horizon I glimpsed the fringes of new strife. Soon I could hear the call to arms. Coming directly toward me at the speed of broadband was … what … could it be true … unfolding on Battlefield Internet a new struggle for freedom was beginning … the War of the Watchdogs. First blood was drawn by a gallant General, known to patriots as the inimitable Glenn Beck. Saul Alinsky’s arrant knaves speak of him only as the “Faux News Clown”. On July 31st at 10:31 am, he called upon his 10 million radio and Web followers to be constitutional watchdogs. In effect, he challenged us to resist the destiny of free range human livestock. He boldly asked that we, we who love freedom, become actively vigilant and to report as patriotic keyboard warriors directly to him any violations of the constitution that we discovered.

While flipping through the channels with my remote, I stopped on the movie, “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” on BET (Black Entertainment Television). Excellent movie. During a commercial break, they gave a news update. An announcer said, “They tried to get the Bronx kid, Sonia Sotomayor, but she beat them”. There was not one mention of Sotomayor’s controversial racist statements. Thus, ill-informed black viewers who don’t follow the news closely are led to conclude that those “evil racist white republicans” are at it again trying to block a person of color. I wonder how BET reported the democrat’s trashing of black, Clarence Thomas and Hispanic, Alberto Gonzalez? Well, those two traitors deserved to be trashed. How dare they prosper without Affirmative Action and lowered standards contradicting the democrat’s victim-hood rhetoric. Education, hard work and character? Heck No! We can not allow such a conservative message to influence black youths. These Uncle Toms must be destroyed!

I have never had to say good-bye to so many friends at once. But alas, until American people get riled enough to take back their government, I guess it is good-bye to faithful dear friends that have always been truthful with me … Neal Boortz, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Herman Cain, Billy Cunningham, Mark Levin, and Rusty Humprey. Maybe, just maybe, someday we’ll hear from you again when America once more makes sense. Obama supporters control most of the newspapers and television already (except FOX News), but now congress wants to silence conservative talk radio (can’t afford to let the public know the truth of what’s happening in D.C). What Diane Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi, and friends could not get done with the Fairness Doctrine, they intend to accomplish with “localism”. One thing you can say for the democrats is they do not give up. If they do not get their policies passed under one bill, they will re-label them, re-phrase them, and send them through again.

In his Morning Update today, Rush Limbaugh reports that the government has already earned over $6 billion in profits from the paid back TARP funds. But, instead of being returned to the American taxpayers, Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA) has proposed that it be used for his own pet projects.

Throughout history dictators have come to power by first seizing the media to spread their propaganda, supposedly befriending the people that felt cheated by society. This is one battle Obama never faced! Our media embraced him, made him a star and became his ambassadors, burying any negative stories. Conservative talk radio told of his past, of his Muslim father and step-father, of his Muslim schooling as a child, and of his mentor Frank Marshall Davis (a key member of the Soviet controlled network sponsored by Moscow that operated in Hawaii). They told of his college years [grades sealed] and the mystery surrounding who paid his way, supposedly a Saudi prince. We learned how he went to Chicago in search of a political career and became a member of the New Party (created by ACORN), a left-leaning democratic socialist party that died off in the mid nineties due to a Supreme Court ruling.

What has happened to our country … what has happened to our constitution … WHEN the President can force auto makers to shut down their dealerships and put business owners OUT of business? Our federal government has ordered 800 Chrysler dealerships to close, even ones that are profitable (during a time when auto sales are down 46% over last year).
