Alison, it seems to me, that when tyrants want to take complete control of a population, one of their first efforts is seize of free communication channels.
This is happening right now across our great nation … discredit fox news (through bullying), shut down talk radio (through “fairness”), and stifle Internet communication (through Net Neutrality).
Facebook and YouTube are controlled by far-left leaning owners. Of course, as companies they can choose their own policies and terms of use, but often these two side with any far-left agenda to quell conservative communication.

Indeed, Charlotte, this is a pivotal time in the history of nation. It is truly a battle of tyranny vs. liberty and socialism vs. capitalism.

TGBP, back when Beck was on CNN he often derided both Republican and Democrat politicians as he does today. However, he has far greater latitude and control of his show on FNC.
Nonetheless, our country’s slide into socialism has been a financial windfall for him. But, it seems to me that if so many politicians were not self-serving and corrupt, Beck would barely be a blip on the radar. Ergo, they deserve credit for making him popular.
