On MSNBC’s “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” (September 1st), Olbermann interviewed Dan Savage, a syndicated sex columnist, author, and gay-rights advocate about the ethics of the opposition to Obama’a policies. Savage stated and Olbermann agreed that some conservatives and leaders like Glenn Beck and Representative Michele Bachmann “are trying to get the President killed”. (video below)
“When you have a party that claims to speak for God or claims that God is on its side, the rhetoric heats up and the anger heats up because it’s not just a battle about ideas and positions and what’s good for the country or bad for the country. It’s a battle about what God wants and what God doesn’t want. It’s easier to demagogue about your enemies and to despise them and to dehumanize them in this really personal and vicious way.
The religious right is fomenting this kind of hatred in this country at our peril. I really do think that the Michele Bachmann’s of the world and the Glenn Becks of the world are actively and consciously, or subconsciously, trying to get - I’m just going to say it, trying to get the president killed. That’s why they’re setting this up as kill or be killed arguments. He’s going to kill your grandma, pull the plug on grandma, death panels that little children have to go in front of.”
On Tuesday’s Hardball (September 1st), Chris Matthews proclaimed that criticizing Michelle Obama having 26 aides is racist. This is another shining example of the far-left not debating an issue on its merits.
Notice that he did NOT dispute the enormous historical precedent of her staff of 26 or their combined salary totaling 1.6 Million taxpayer dollars. When they can not persuade in the arena of ideas, they attack the messenger … typically by denigrating the messenger as racist.

When the man convicted of murdering 270 people by blowing up Pan Am flight 103 two decades ago over Lockerbie, Scotland, was released, many in this country were rightfully outraged. On December 21st, 1988, 243 passengers, 16 crew members, and 11 people on the ground were murdered. Of these, 180 were Americans; 60 of them children.
The bomber, Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, returned to Libya on August 20th with much fanfare enjoying a “compassionate release” due to his imminent demise from cancer. He had served 8 years of a 27-year sentence. Moreover, he was given an unfathomable level of compassion that beyond outrage, has sparked even more controversy. (video below)

The Tucson area Tea Party Coalition held a townhall healthcare meeting at Rincon High School in Tucson on Friday (August 28th). Over 1,000 people showed up at the event … including one violent counter-protester.
The ObamaCare supporter loudly interrupted the meeting immediately after a TPD officer thanked the group for always being civil and law-abiding at their events. The event protester shouted over our panelists incessantly and, when approached, hit one of the attendees in the face with his elbow. The man who was assaulted kept his cool and TPD promptly removed the protester from the auditorium.
Two local TV stations covered the town hall event, KOLD13 and KGUN9. The following video clip is from KGUN9.
This video was taken on Tuesday (August 25th) at Representative Jim Moran’s (D-VA) town hall meeting on ObamaCare held at South Lakes High School in Reston, VA.
Many people were left outside when the school filled to capacity. School security officer Wesley Cheeks, Jr. did not like a protester’s anti-ObamaCare poster which used one of the viral “Joker” graphics.
Officer Cheeks, a security officer employed by the Fairfax County Public Schools, told some town hall protesters to put away their signs or he’ll “charge them with trespassing or whatever he wants.”
Then, when a protester said to Officer Cheeks, “This used to be America!” his response was: “It ain’t no more, OK?”

Senator Mike Enzi (R-WY) of Wyoming delivered the weekly Republican address Saturday on the loss of Senator Kennedy and the importance of getting health care reform done right.
Senator Enzi discussed how the Democrats are rushing a health reform bill through congress that will ultimately “raid Medicare”, raise costs and increase the deficit.
And, he urged lawmakers to listen to what the American people are saying and scrap the Democrats’ current plan in order to “enact common sense reform that will actually cut costs.”
Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, a popular American comedy duo during the 1940s and 50s, performed a number crowd pleasing skits. Even today, their “Who’s On First” skit is still well known.
Another of their famous skits, “Union Loafers”, would probably be considered “politically incorrect” by today’s far-left activists. Nonetheless, the humor of this comedic routine seems to be an appropriate reminder since looming on the horizon is the “card check” scheme to end private unionization ballots.
In this one, Abbott gets a loafing job at a bakery and Costello can’t understand that he gets paid for it.
In the final episode of a record-breaking ratings week, Glenn Beck presented an inspiring music video produced by his staff on Friday. He simply entitled it “A 912 Music Video.”
From King George to the 911 Terrorists to the current attempt at a socialist takeover of our country by the non-representing Congress and marxist Administration, WE have been underestimated. In each case, the purveyors of tyranny failed to recognize the will of the American people. After watching this video, you may be more inclined to name it “We Have Been Underestimated Before.”
In his Morning Update today, Rush Limbaugh offered a few tips for job hunting liberals. He started off by pointing out that “rules of work” may be a foreign concept to libs.
One advice tip was “Companies do not hire you so that you can make money and have health care. They hire you for the work you produce … so that they can earn profits.”
Another helpful instruction was “Companies do not hire you to offer free broadband service to Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, or to line up dates. They expect actual productivity from you.”
On Tuesday (August 25th) Representative Jim Moran (D-VA) held a health care town hall meeting at South Lakes High School in Reston, Virginia. Howard Dean, former Democratic National Committee chairman, also delivered remarks. (video below)
Apparently, many Democrats are starting to come unhinged at the pressure of citizens making their voices heard. Moran demanded that a man opposed to ObamaCare show his ID before he would allow him to ask a question. The crowd cheered as the questioner told Moran “You’re the Imposter!” and “Let me see your ID.”
Reportedly, Moran later apologized.

He answered the question by saying he did not believe Obama had the right to appoint these “Czars” and give them powers that encroach on the “Checks and Balances” the Constitution requires.

…
We’ve got to take back our government from the special interests!”
