The way congress is worried about Carbon Dioxide, CO2, you would think none of them know that it is essential to all life forms. “Carbon Footprint” is a cutesy name for making you or your company feel guilty about the amount of energy you use. We all contribute to the ‘greenhouse gas emissions’ that, according to the environmentalist, is causing ‘global warming’. There is even a carbon footprint calculator to figure your footprint. You can check it out at CarbonFootprint.com. It will ask personal questions about your home, shopping habits, travel, diet, etc. Not to worry. No matter how much ‘energy’ you may use, you may buy ‘carbon offsets’. But, according to the General Accounting Office (GAO) the carbon offsets ‘have no uniform quality assurance mechanisms as standards of verification and monitoring’. (Hint: your money may not help reduce CO2 emissions.)

For far too long, citizens have declined to be involved in politics, except to occasionally go vote IF it isn’t too hot, too cold, raining, or we have the time to spare and don’t have to wait in line too long. Meanwhile the ‘global warming’ alarmists have been hard at work behind the scenes. They have multiple agencies. The Corporate Social Responsible movement has been intimidating businesses … making environmental, social, and human rights demands. They oppose conventional oil, shale oil, refineries, tar sands, natural gas, and nuclear power plants. They also have campaigned against turbine electricity, producing wind farms, and they have filed suits to ‘protect’ deserts that were proposed sites for solar energy.

At a press conference today, Governor Sarah Palin announced that she would not seek a second term as governor. The governor continued, saying that by the end of the month she would resign from the governorship. (video below) On a day that most public employees have off, Palin sent out an early morning press release indicating that she would be giving an announcement from her home in Wasilla. Joining Palin were her parents, family and state commissioners. Palin announced that she will transfer power to Lt. Governor Sean Parnell. Parnell will be sworn in during the upcoming governor’s picnic in Fairbanks on July 26. Parnell said he plans to keep all state commissioners and continue to pursue a natural gas pipeline. He also announced that he would enter the gubernatorial race in 2010.

I have never had to say good-bye to so many friends at once. But alas, until American people get riled enough to take back their government, I guess it is good-bye to faithful dear friends that have always been truthful with me … Neal Boortz, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Herman Cain, Billy Cunningham, Mark Levin, and Rusty Humprey. Maybe, just maybe, someday we’ll hear from you again when America once more makes sense. Obama supporters control most of the newspapers and television already (except FOX News), but now congress wants to silence conservative talk radio (can’t afford to let the public know the truth of what’s happening in D.C). What Diane Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi, and friends could not get done with the Fairness Doctrine, they intend to accomplish with “localism”. One thing you can say for the democrats is they do not give up. If they do not get their policies passed under one bill, they will re-label them, re-phrase them, and send them through again.

South Carolina Lt. Governor Andre Bauer’s out-of-state consultant Chris LaCivita was caught this weekend trying to orchestrate pressure to force Governor Mark Sanford’s resignation. Bauer’s move came after the governor admitted he had left South Carolina for five days to pursue an extramarital affair with a woman from Argentina. Sensing an opportunity to take over for Sanford, Bauer and company moved quickly behind the scenes to launch a coup. The New York Times has published an email from LaCivita to a GOP activist pleading for him to encourage Sanford’s resignation. “André Bauer is my client; I’ve been working this since Monday,” wrote LaCivita. “I need to get this guy (Sanford) out.” LaCivita told The Times “this is me professionally seeking information and sources from people I thought I could trust.” References:

Most of us just don’t have the time to give even a cursory perusal to the abundance of conservative commentary and news, so we help you with the quest. Each Sunday we highlight issues and headlines from the week, commented by established political pundits. These include articulate and compelling commentary from Ann Coulter, Bill O’Reilly, Devvy Kidd, Dick Morris, Michelle Malkin, and Thomas Sowell. We include others from time to time, but these six are rather prolific. These are their opinions on today’s hot topics; what’s yours?

This video presents a compelling series of news clips that document the “remaking of America”. You might want to pass this one along to friends and family. The author also has the web site TexasDaze. (The volume is loud on this one; you may want to turn your sound down a little before viewing.)

The following is an excerpt from an article by Peter Ferrara (September 25, 2001). An American is English … or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian, or Greek. An American may also be African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Australian, Iranian, Asian, Arab, Pakistani, or Afghan. An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan. The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them choose. An American is also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.

President Obama has said that “Cap & Trade” will cause electricity prices to skyrocket. Do you have an extra $1,500 a year to spend on energy? It’s also expected to increase costs indirectly across the board for each American household on every good or service purchased that uses energy by another $1,500 per year.

![]() The following letter was emailed to Glenn Beck two days ago by Janet Contreras. She’s an everyday citizen who passionately expresses her anger over the ongoing failures of our ‘non-representing’ representatives in DC to address the concerns of their constituencies. To me, she discusses the very issues that should be topics in every Tea Party Rally. In fact, you might even consider reading it at your own rally. But before our next events, I’d suggest that you share this article (and videos) with EVERYONE you know. Let’s help spread her sentiments by proving that as she states “the silent majority is no longer silent.” Send it to everyone you know and ask them to do the same! She calls it “An Open Letter to our Nation’s Leadership”…

That collection of classic tales entitled One Thousand and One Nights continues. In the latest episode, a poor homeboy, abandoned by all but his white grandmother and the kindly old communist down the street, becomes a community organizer, stumbles upon a wealthy neo-communist whose financial assistance helps him write two or three books about his life before his thirtieth birthday, and he makes millions. He uses this money as a springboard to a political career. His rhetorical skills and likeable personality cause millions of voters to hail him as a miraculous example of opportunity in the land of the free, and the home of the brave. Shortly afterward, he ascends to the most powerful office in the world. Recently, our hero stood behind the bully pulpit and proclaimed to zillions of adoring acolytes his value of truth, justice, and the American way. His willingness to tell everyone the difficult truths that they desperately need to hear, particularly as it involves those peaceful, tolerant populations we collectively refer to as the ‘Muslim world’ is unparalleled in the American political experience.

Now that President Øbama has decided to reach out to the Muslim world, we wonder what he hopes to achieve on behalf of the American people. Simply stated, governments entreat with one another because each has something they want from the other, and both believe that a treaty will satisfy its own national interests. In the past, American foreign policy has been ill-considered, even juvenile, and according to the president, arrogant. According to Reuters, the president wants the United States to be a ‘role model’ for the Arab world, although I’m not sure what exactly he had in mind. Does he seek to obtain approval for Christian churches? Does he want Arab promises not to blow up our naval vessels? Or, is he sufficiently narcissistic to think that Arabs will actually come to ‘like’ Americans once he’s demonstrated a renewed willingness to bow to a foreign potentate? Let’s see … what do the Arab states want from the United States? Hmmm.
