Ezekiel, if you don’t know, is the older brother of the statist Rahm Emanuel, and recently Ezekiel got his feelings hurt.
In an interview he just gave the Associated Press, Monday (August 24th), Ezekiel said this:
“I’m completely dumbfounded. I’ve been in academic disputes before, but I never thought I’d be disparaged on Sunday morning talk shows and in the papers, being distorted in ways that can only be described as willful and intentional.”
What Ezekiel Emanuel is referring to here is what that same AP article describes as The sometimes ugly health care debate [which] has dragged Ezekiel Emanuel very reluctantly into the spotlight, as opponents of Obama’s proposed reform have seized on snippets of his past writings to bolster their charge that he and the administration advocate a system where bureaucrats — on what former Gov. Sarah Palin has famously called “death panels” — would play God, ruling on whether ailing Grandma deserves medical care. The accusations have been widely debunked as distortions of Emanuel’s and the administration’s views. Still, they persist, leaving Emanuel both stunned and hurt.
You see, it’s tough being a eugenicist. If you doubt that, just watch Ezekiel squirm like the worm that he is under this historian’s searing testimony:
Americans need to stay on alert. Not only are elected officials ignoring us, but Obama is replacing them with Czars.
Most of the Czars appointed by Obama are unelected, unconfirmed by the Senate, and they answer only to Obama. At present he has 44, but has plans for more. He has given them power over cabinet level officials. If subpoenaed by congress, they can claim executive privilege. Is he sitting up the framework to dismiss Congress and have a government of a despot? A Marxist government? Totalitarian?
Meet your Czars; we pay them well. They earn between $158,500 and $172,200 a year. They are designing the policies of this country — not Congress.
Over the past week or so while the entire country obsessed over the death of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, attention was “somehow” diverted from our country’s two queens. The Queen of Socialism, Nancy Pelosi, pushed through the U.S. House the largest tax increase in the history of our country, Cap & Trade. And, an annual White House report revealed (for investigative reporters) that Queen Michelle Obama’s staff of 22 earns a total of $1,600,700.00 per year. (see chart below)
Mary Todd Lincoln was ridiculed for purchasing china for the White House during the Civil War. Mamie Eisenhower had to pay the salary for her personal secretary … herself. And, Laura Bush was criticized for her staff earning $561,325 in annual salaries. But Queen Michelle has set a new staff salary precedent for the First Lady … who performs absolutely no official duties … during the most severe economic turmoil of our lifetimes.
Most of us just don’t have the time to give even a cursory perusal to the abundance of conservative commentary and news, so we help you with the quest. Each Sunday we highlight issues and headlines from the week, commented by established political pundits.
These include articulate and compelling commentary from Ann Coulter, Bill O’Reilly, Devvy Kidd, Dick Morris, Michelle Malkin, and Thomas Sowell. We include others from time to time, but these six are rather prolific. These are their opinions on today’s hot topics; what’s yours?
A concerned patriot wrote me the following. “...our Tea Party efforts are taking a weird turn. As you know the April 15th nationwide rallies were a BIG success! The issues were Runaway Federal Spending and lack of primarily, the Federal Government doing what is best for the people.
…we are receiving direction to turn our focus to the Local Cities, Counties, and School Boards and not to focus on National issues.
This is not what started the Tea Parties and in my opinion is not where we should be going as a “Grassroots” group.”
The following is my reply.
There is a saying that “all politics are local”. In other words, national change starts at the local level. However, I don’t believe national issues should be ignored. WE NEED TO FIGHT ON BOTH LEVELS! Also, I believe in following YOUR passion or calling. If national issues are your hot button, I believe that is where your efforts should go.

That collection of classic tales entitled One Thousand and One Nights continues. In the latest episode, a poor homeboy, abandoned by all but his white grandmother and the kindly old communist down the street, becomes a community organizer, stumbles upon a wealthy neo-communist whose financial assistance helps him write two or three books about his life before his thirtieth birthday, and he makes millions. He uses this money as a springboard to a political career. His rhetorical skills and likeable personality cause millions of voters to hail him as a miraculous example of opportunity in the land of the free, and the home of the brave. Shortly afterward, he ascends to the most powerful office in the world.
Recently, our hero stood behind the bully pulpit and proclaimed to zillions of adoring acolytes his value of truth, justice, and the American way. His willingness to tell everyone the difficult truths that they desperately need to hear, particularly as it involves those peaceful, tolerant populations we collectively refer to as the ‘Muslim world’ is unparalleled in the American political experience.
“Here is the United States. It was filled with terror from its north to its south and from its east to its west. Praise be to God. What the United States tastes today is a very small thing compared to what we have tasted for tens of years … As for the United States, I tell it and its people these few words: I swear by Almighty God who raised the heavens without pillars that neither the United States nor he who lives in the United States will enjoy security before we can see it as a reality in Palestine and before all the infidel armies leave the land of Mohammed, may God’s peace and blessing be upon him. God is great and glory to Islam. May God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you.”
This clip is from the Glenn Beck show on Fox News (Monday; 2009-06-08). He discusses the SCOTUS delay regarding the Obama administration’s decision to reverse 100 years of established law by putting the UAW ahead of senior creditors in the Chrysler buyout scheme.

Note from Don Wildmon: For years I have refused to use words such as marxism, socialism, or similar words when describing our current situation. However, it is time to call a spade a spade, regardless of those who oppose label use. Rome is burning. The article below was written by Stanislav Mishin, a blogger and columnist for the Russian newspaper Pravda.
American Capitalism Gone With A Whimper (from Pravda.ru) …
It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.
True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.
Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.
In April of this year, Montana passed a law that guns manufactured in Montana and sold in Montana to people who intend to keep their weapons in Montana are exempt from federal gun registration, background checks, and dealer-licensing rules because no state lines are crossed.
Now, apparently, Tennessee is considering following the actions of Montana and possibly Texas in telling the Federal Government they can keep their hands off our guns.
On May 6th on the floor of the US House, Representative Randy Forbes (R-VA) asks the questions “Did America ever consider itself a Judeo-Christian nation?” and “If America was once a Judeo-Christian nation, when did it cease to be?”.

On Wednesday, 2009-06-05, Representative Marcy Kaptur (D - OH) questioned Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke for about 11 minutes. As she grilled him regarding the lack of transparency regarding the financial rescues for these bankers (being arranged by the Fed), she stated that “very privileged and powerful bankers have hurt our country deeply.”
Twenty years ago, on June 3rd and June 4th, 1989, Tiananmen Square in Beijing China was swarmed upon by communist security officers whose purpose was to silence a student-led movement protesting, among other things, their oppressive government.
This protest actually began seven weeks before, on April 15th, 1989, after the death of a largely pro-free-market, anti-corruption government official named Hu Yaobang. Many Chinese people wanted to mourn his death because they regarded him as something of a hero, and that is how it all began, culminating on June 4th.
During those seven weeks, many of these protesters were openly discussing a principle that we almost never hear discussed even in this country — though it was this country’s foundational principle, a principle that is so profound and so complex that only a small minority of people today grasp its awesome logic. That principle is the principle of individual rights.
The word Tiananmen literally translates to “Gate of Heavenly Peace.”
