This is the entire Glenn Beck show from Wednesday, September 30th, 2009. In this episode, Beck discusses Obama’s trip to Denmark for the Chicago Olympics in 2016 involving Valerie Jarrett and a new Chicago gun rights case before the Supreme Court. He interviews Tom Fitton and Alan Gura.
The North Carolina Supreme Court ruled Friday (August 28th) that a 2004 law that bars convicted felons from having a gun, even within their own home or business, is unconstitutional.
The state’s high court ruled in the case of Barney Britt of Wake County that the General Assembly went too far five years ago when it toughened restrictions on felons owning guns as part of a broad anti-domestic-violence bill.
In an address to the Council on Foreign Relations on July 15th, 2009, Hillary Clinton said the following:
“Thank you very much, Richard, and I am delighted to be here in these new headquarters. I have been often to, I guess, the mother ship in New York City, but it’s good to have an outpost of the Council right here down the street from the State Department. We get a lot of advice from the Council, so this will mean I won’t have as far to go to be told what we should be doing and how we should think about the future.”

Do you have friends and family who realize that something is very wrong today in this country, but they won’t take action? They complain about big government spending and the ongoing stupidity in Washington, but that’s all they do … complain.
They are good people; they are concerned; but they believe that their public voice won’t matter. They have never been politically active. And, they start making excuses when you ask them to take action. They believe that somehow, without action, all this craziness will correct itself.
We all have kith and kin who are like this. Most of us Tea Party activists are just everyday Americans who never even considered attending rallies. With each of us, who loves freedom in our country, it took a final disconcerting spark for us to heed the call to action.
The couch potatoes, hesitant warriors, and the stay-at-home silent majority need that proper spark. Perhaps, you might pass this article along to them … along with words of encouragement … while we can still speak out.
America Is Under Attack:
One of the popular mantras of the Tea Party movement, “revolution is brewing”, implies that we, the people, are on the verge of starting a revolution. Although this slogan is a clever play on words, it is something of a misnomer. In reality, we ARE the American resistance, not the revolutionaries.
We ARE the defenders of the republic. We are the steadfast holdouts for freedom. We are the intractable believers in self-reliance. We are the unyielding supporters of capitalism. We are the obstinate zealots for the rule of law upon which this great nation was founded.
Make no mistake about it; we are under attack. They rapid-fire unrelenting salvos so steadily that some have inured ourselves to the ongoing injuries and ceaseless destruction.
We are under attack by equally adamant forces who strive to ‘change’ our country into a new form a government and a new type of economy. They have taken control of our banks. They have taken control of our insurance industry. They have taken control of our automotive industry.

What one industry continues to enjoy enormous sales during our challenging economic times? Yes; that’s right — gun and ammo sales have been soaring for several months. In fact, the firearms industry and the federal government appear to be the fastest two growing segments of our economy.
A simple Google News search for “gun sales”, “gun sales up”, or “gun sales soaring” yields hundreds of recent stories from across our nation. Many locations are enjoying 3 to 5 times the sales over the same first few months last year.
It seems that a lot of Americans fear our government will soon attempt to restrict the freedom we enjoy to bear arms granted to us by the Second Amendment. Only time will reveal whether or not these concerns are fully justified.
Wouldn’t it be really ironic, though, if laws created with the purpose of cutting back on crime and the number of murders actually had the opposite effect?
In April of this year, Montana passed a law that guns manufactured in Montana and sold in Montana to people who intend to keep their weapons in Montana are exempt from federal gun registration, background checks, and dealer-licensing rules because no state lines are crossed.
Now, apparently, Tennessee is considering following the actions of Montana and possibly Texas in telling the Federal Government they can keep their hands off our guns.
Do you wonder which direction our country is headed with all of these bailouts, handouts, and loans to big businesses from our representatives in DC?
Isn’t it time that government authority be derived from the consent of the governed … from we, the people?
Are you aware of the hundreds of Tea Party protests taking place around the nation and the ones planned for April 15? Are you aware of Glenn Beck’s ‘We Surround Them’ movement? Every day, more and more concerned Americans join these constructive activities.
We are so inspired by these patriotic Americans and so disappointed with the ongoing disregard for its citizens that our federal government is displaying that we started a monthly newsletter.
Common Sense 2020 is an entertaining expression of what Thomas Paine, the Father of the American Revolution, might discuss if he were around today. He might even call many of these folks in DC today ‘non-representing representatives’.

We reported 30 days ago that gun sales were soaring across the nation. Firearms and ammunition sales continue to boom. A simple Google News search for “gun sales are up” or “gun sales soaring” reveals numerous recent stories concerning this race beat the inauguration. While many retailers are struggling to break even this holiday season, business has been booming for gun dealers and warehouse distributors nationwide (up 42%).
This pre-emptive initiative to “bear arms while we can” is concerned that with President-elect Barack Obama in the White House and a Democrat-majority Congress tough, new gun laws are just around the corner. It may mean fewer opportunities to buy guns. Although an outright firearms ban seems unlikely, gun owners are worried about higher taxes on gun transactions and greater fees for Firearm Ownership Identification Card applications.
Gun-rights advocates should also recognize that if the Dems do curtail, stifle, or eliminate guns sales, there is another point to consider. They will also stop usage of existing guns by cutting off ammo sales. If you are concerned, stock up on ammo NOW.

After getting a degree as a chiropractor in 1985, she moved to Houston. An assistant district attorney, who was a patient, suggested she carry a gun as self-defense in the big city.
On Saturday, October 16, 1991, Suzanna and her parents were having lunch at the Luby’s Cafeteria in Killeen, TX. She had left her handgun in her car to comply with Texas state law at the time which forbade carrying a concealed weapon.
While enjoying their family meal, George Hennard, an unemployed merchant seaman, drove his truck into the cafeteria, leaped out and opened fire on the patrons. Hupp instinctively reached into her purse for her weapon, but it was in her vehicle.
