Former Vice President Dick Cheney spoke this evening at the Center For Security Policy dinner at Union Station in DC. For thirty minutes he delivered an impressively scathing review of President Obama’s blatant foreign policy and national security blunders. Undoubtedly, his unrelenting onslaught of bitter disdain will elicit retaliation from the notoriously hyper-sensitive Obama administration. (videos below)

His speech at the dinner included such gems as “Having announced his Afghanistan strategy in March, President Obama now seems afraid to make a decision, and unable to provide his commander on the ground with the troops he needs to complete the mission. It’s time for President Obama to make good on his promise. The White House must stop dithering while America’s armed forces are in danger.”

Last night on MSNBC’s “The Ed Show”, Arianna Huffington explained to liberal Ed Schultz why she has written that Vice-President Joe Biden should resign from office if President Obama decides to send 40,000 more troops to Afghanistan (as requested by General Stanley McChrystal). Biden has opposed increasing troops levels in Afghanistan, and instead wants more focus on Al-Qaeda in Pakistan. (video below)

Schultz was derisive that Huffington would advocate this, and told her “We’re talking about Joe Biden. We’re not talking about Sarah Palin. Joe Biden is not a quitter.”

Today on Fox News, Neil Cavuto interviewed former “Price is Right” host, Bob Barker, about troop deployment in Afghanistan and his gift of $3 million to help build a hospital in Bethesda, Maryland that will assist American Veterans who have been wounded. Barker made his donation through the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

In his show tonight, Sean Hannity talked with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich about the reported anger President Obama’s White House has toward General Stanley McChrystal. (video below)

McChrystal made remarks in London last week which made it clear he does not agree with Vice-President Biden’s suggested Afghanistan strategy that would focus on hunting Al-Qaeda and reducing U.S. presence in the country … essentially leaving Afghanistan to the Taliban. It was after those remarks by McChrystal that he was summoned to meet with Obama in Copenhagen on Friday (October 2nd).

Today, on Fox News Sunday, the panel weighed in on sending more troops to Afghanistan. This clip includes commentary from Mara Liasson and Bill Kristol. Kristol states that he considers the Whitehose delays as “pathetic”.
