But, when it comes to America’s defense, the rhetoric doesn’t match the reality. This video is from the KeepAmericaSafeCom YouTube channel.

Dozens of people, drawn by area “Tea Party” groups, protested on Monday across from a Burlington Township, NJ school — both about a video that has become an Internet sensation and the larger issue about molding young minds. (original video below) The video of a grade school’s performance for Black History Month flashed across the Internet like lightning: “Barack Hussein Obama…” And it became a lightning rod for groups who called it indoctrination: “Educate, don’t indocrinate!” Demonstrators chanted and waved signs on Monday morning across from the B. Bernice Young Elementary School, where the video was shot.

How safe is this? Obama’s Safe Schools Czar, Kevin Jennings, wrote in September of 1998 that killing someone who called you a name was not aberrant behavior. The clear implication is that if someone calls you a “faggot” … “that being ‘a man’ is the most important thing in life, even if you have to kill someone to prove it.” Apparently since society teaches men that to call someone gay is a crime deserving of the death penalty, parents have no influence in any of this … and the criminals bear no personal responsibility for their own actions. It is society’s fault. His sage words regarding the manly response to name-calling is excerpted here from the April 2001 BGLAD Newsletter (Bisexuals, Gays, Lesbians, Transgendereds and Allies At DuPont). The document PDF link (and a backup) are below. Refer to pages 10 and 11 for his insightful “Be A Man” article.

Once again, Saturday Night Live opened with a spoof of President Obama. In this one, they poke fun at him being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. He states that he won for “not being George Bush”. He adds that he also “won the $70 million dollar jackpot in the Powerball lottery”. At the end, he states that he will meet with his financial team consisting of Tim Geithner, Ben Bernanke and Larry Summers … because they “do not make mistakes”.

Pulling off a double-parody can be a daunting enterprise, but this one makes a laudable (and humorous) effort to spoof both Britney Spears’ “Womanizer” and Obama’s Nobel Peace Rhetoric Prize. The author proclaims that she was inspired by Representative Joe Wilson (R-SC). This video is from the cv1122 YouTube channel.

On The MSNBC’s Ed Show today, Representative Alan Grayson (D-FL) discussed Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize. (video below) When asked for his response to “the response of the Republican Party, and how they’ve been so negative,” Grayson answered “I think I understand their disappointment, they’re not going to be winning the Nobel Peace Prize themselves anytime soon, they probably wish that there was a Nobel Prize for fear, a Nobel prize for hatred, a Nobel prize for racism, you know then they’d be in the running.” Although it is tempting to consider Grayson’s remarks as some feeble comedic attempt, he is apparently quite sincere in his bizarre analysis.

On The MSNBC today, Joe Scarborough and Mark Halperin mocked the news that President Obama has been given the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. Scarborough said it is a “joke,” and Halperin said it reinforces the idea that Obama is all about “just words.” Haperin joked you might as well give the award to “Michael Moore.” (video below) Toward the end of the video, Scarborough was told that “a senior White House Official” had sent a message saying Scarborough was acting like an “a**hole.”

Limits on medical malpractice lawsuits would lead doctors to order up fewer unneeded tests and save taxpayers billions more than previously thought, budget umpires for Congress said today in a reversal that puts the issue back in the middle of the health care debate. The latest analysis from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimates that government health care programs could save $41 billion over ten years if nationwide limits on jury awards for pain and suffering and other similar curbs were enacted. Those savings are nearly ten times greater than CBO estimated just last year.
