912 March on DC: The 2 Million Man March5.0510

It was an enjoyable honor to attend the 912 March on DC. The 8-hour bus trip with fellow patriots concerned about big government growth added to the pleasure of participating in the largest political rally in our great nation’s history. In DC, attendees were not only friendly and respectful; but, we also left our nation’s capital free of litter. (video and photo gallery below)

Moreover, most media outlets have downplayed the huge attendance to the 912 March on DC. Was it 10,000? Was it 75,000? 1.2 million? 1.7 million? 2 million? For President Obama and his “mainstream media”, it must be like arguing over exactly how many drops of water are in the tidal wave that is bearing down on you!

Indeed, each of us who proudly joined the 2-million-man-march have 50 to 100 friends and family with similar convictions who were unable to attend. We fully recognize that when government makes our choices for us or limits them, tyranny prevails. When we can make our own choices, liberty prevails. We stand not for the vagaries of partisan politics; but, rather we unite together across party lines for protection of our unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Further, the grassroots tea party movement and this record-breaking march represent the first time in recent history that a people witnessed encroaching tyranny and stood steadfastly united “before” the government oppressors could attain victory against their people. But, of course, victims of the eventual atrocities in Germany and Russia did not have the benefit of our hindsight.

Nonetheless, as we proudly honor the constitutional principles set forth by our founding fathers in these concerted efforts against big government, the forces who oppose freedom are woefully intransigent. We must, therefore, continue our rallies, protests, and marches with unwavering resolve and unrelenting fervor until our non-representing representatives both hear and recognize the voices of the once silent majority. Even then, we must remain ever-vigilant as tenacious watchdogs for liberty.

As a resident of South Carolina, the home of the Gadsden flag, I am particularly proud of Jim DeMint and Joe Wilson who have taken resolute stands in the national arena against the onslaught of big government. What’s next? Look for patriotic marches in state capitals … perhaps synchronized across all 50 states for the same day in January or February of 2010!

I have heard estimates of attendance between 50,000 (left-wing socialist/communist media) to 2.5 million (real Americans and patriotic media). I believe there were at least 2 million patriots there, and maybe as many as 5 million. That should give the commies in the White House and Congress pause for thought.

Indeed, it should and surely does give them pause for thought. But, we must accept that they will never acknowledge it publicly.

I attended this march and spoke to as many policemen and women as I could. By the end of the day they were saying that we were 1. bigger than the inaugration 2. at least 2 million strong 3. the most polite and by far the cleanest protestors they had ever seen

We were not allowed on the national mall green so therefore spilled into the streets. It is almost unheard of to find an aerial shot that shows us filling up the side streets as well as pennsylvania ave. , which is what I saw from the south lawn of capitol. Police started march an hour early because freedom plaza was already overflowing in every direction.

It was an incredible day indeed. I’ve never been prouder to be an american. I’m pleased to say that Marine 1 took off early in the program so I have no doubt Obama saw the magnificient size of the crowd as we were all assembled by that time.

All it takes for evil to reign is for good men to do nothing. Look at the faces of we the people….doing nothing is no longer an option for us.

I agree with you guys the Make Up Media down played the attendence. It was wonderful seeing all the Patriots coming together for the 9/12 March on Washington.

As you could see there were so many people there it was hard to move. What a great day it was to see so many standing tall with their state flags in hand.

9/12 will be a day we all will never forget, knowing We The People would be heard!
