Do you remember when no one locked their home door? A convertible could sit with the top down and no-one would bother it. Families went to church together. We had prayer in school. Movies were westerns, musicals, and comedies. Every father taught his son how to use a gun. Drugs were medicines prescribed by doctors. Children were safe playing in their yards. You trusted the news media. You trusted the government. Sound like a fantasy today?
Communist leader Lenin in his strategy to attack the West said “destroy the family and society will collapse”. Now we have congressmen that want to pass laws to make spanking a child an illegal act punishable by law. The U.N. treaty says “any physical punishment or discipline could mean a prison sentence” and/or “prohibit you from taking your child to church — against their will”. It is illegal to spank a child in Finland. Many Scandinavians are serving time for spanking a child.
Television is a constant attack on the traditional and moral values of Americans. It portrays fornication and adultery as normal behavior. Over 70% of PG films contain profane, sexual, and vulgar language. They are full of violence; they mock Christianity and promote the occult.
Schools want to indoctrinate children in homosexual policies. They teach that heterosexism is a moral failing. They teach that there is no absolute good or evil. They will not give your child an aspirin for a headache, but they will help them get abortions without your knowledge.
They expel a child for reading a Bible at school, for praying, or even mentioning God in a speech. U.S Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders [Clinton administration], whose son went to prison for selling cocaine, said ‘I don’t feel it’s a crime’. She is the one that wanted to distribute condoms to elementary school students. In 1993, Judge Thaxton of Louisiana ruled it illegal to teach abstinence.
Don Imus was fired for repeating a phrase children hear in Rock Music all of the time. And it was nothing compared to the constant messages of toture, violence against women, peversion and murder in most rock music and videos that youth listen to.
College is a $155 billion/year enterprise; endowments have increased. There were 3535 colleges in 1990, few give an adequate education. Students demanded a greater role in sitting the agenda. Standards were swept aside as students became increasing involved in political activism. They no longer study the constitution, the Federalist Papers, masterworks of English, American and European literature. They have little knowledge of history or science. Drugs are plentiful ,especially cocaine and ecstacy.
Tenure and teachers unions protect inept instructors. They oppose competency tests, performance-based pay, or holding educators accountable so students suffer.
Liberals have taken over the colleges. To them, America is not the beacon on the hill but a country corrupt with racism, elitism, imperialism — a down right mean country. For many colleges, their purpose is to oppose what most Americans believe.
In 1986 at Sanford University, a very vocal group of students demanded the university abolish ‘Western Culture” and have a course that emphasized the contributions of cultures. In 1988, “Western Culture” was replaced by “Culture, Ideas, and Values”. The list of significant works of Western philosophy and litrature was thrown out. C.I.V. instructors now decide each year the content of the course … works of ‘women, minorities, and persons of color’ have to be included.
Through bullying, riots, loud voices, and threats promoting diversity they did what Allan Bloom called ‘the Cleansing of American Minds”.
In 1986 at Yale University, a panel of professors decided that “Western Culture” was sexist, racist, elitist, imperialist, ethnocentric, and selfish. As a result, they decided that discontinuing the class would be important toward “freeing the world from the final fruits of bourgeois humanism”.
I know of only one college (I’m sure there are plenty more), the Hillsdale College, that is unapologetically pro American, pro freedom, and anti socialism. They teach the constitution and American heritage. They reject all government money, even in the form of student loans and grants … 100% of it’s funds come from tuition and contributions.
This drives the liberals crazy. They cannot indoctrinate the students.
If you have a child college age, find a college that doesn’t spoon feed them socialism, marxism, and fascism. Too many of our children come home from college as strangers to us and our beliefs.
Don’t let the liberals win, this is a fight for our country and freedoms. Notice how many college students ACORN got out to vote this past election? We must win their minds to win their votes.
Let’s revive traditional American values.
