There are reports of widespread fraud and abuse in the Governor Dave Patterson / Billionaire George Soros taxpayer funded “buy-votes” government handout program. Businesses across New York are reporting people using this money (supposedly intended for their children’s school supplies) for other basic necessities such as iPods, flatscreen tvs, cell phones, video game systems, booze and squares. It turns out the public assistance cards actually act like ATM cards. Once the $200/child cash was pumped into their account, welfare recepients flooded ATM machines all over the state to quickly withdraw their newfound cash.
“It’s free money!” said Alecia Rumph, 26, who waited in a 300 people deep line in the Bronx - for the free money. She also said: “Thank God for Obama. He’s looking out for us.”
The no-strings-attached money went to families receiving welfare or food stamps. Every child between 3 and 17 was worth $200 a piece, which worked out to 813,845 kids across the state - including 498,866 in the city.
Soros donated $35 million to the state so New York could qualify for extra Obama stimulus funds. The federal government provides four dollars for every dollar set aside by the state, meaning his gift will leveraged $140 million in taxpayer dollars.

So glad we could help with all the beer, cigs, & flat screens for school. I guess they do things a little different in schools up there. Obama sure knows how to share the wealth for all the right reasons and all the right ways. I’m surprised their not being “mobbed”.

Why didn’t he offer millions to some of the states in the South? They would’ve loved to have had a big screen TV to watch Nascar on Sunday’s. OOPS sorry! They would have spent the money on their kids not wasted it on something that could have waited until the economy was better.

Speaking of George, George Reisman wrote a long and philosophical response to George Soros clear back in 2004. It’s not exactly light reading, and yet it’s relevant.
King Texas, I heard that: where I’m from, we always had to buy and bring our own beer and our own cigarettes to school. It hardly seems fair.

This is the administration of Free Money-So why would the paid off media respond negatively? I say “paid off” cause I’m sure some where in all that ball of wax there’s money for them. Time, G.E….etc. Although some are starting to see the light ever so lightly.
