The constitution was written to place limits on the federal government (Article 1, Section 8), not to grant it unlimited domain. Congress has absolutely no constitutional authority to meddle in our health care. It also has no constitutional authority to take over the auto industry, the banking industry, the energy industry, the mortgage industry, or ANY privately run industry.
Isn’t it time we hold our elected officials accountable?
The congress and Obama has been telling us that our health care, the best heath care in the world, is in crisis. Funny thing is that everything is a crisis with this administration, and must be taken care of rapidly, without reading or discussing bills, to push Obama’s agenda and make new laws which Speaker Nancy Pelosi and all of her leftist democrats try to shove down our throats. For almost 8 months they have been successful.
Speaker Pelosi will not allow republicans to submit any amendments to the health care bill or be privy to any committee hearings. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid threatens to do away with the 60 vote majority and abuse the process of reconciliation (requiring only 51 votes). Congressmen reflect the feelings of Representative Eric Massa when he says “I will vote adamantly against the interests and opinions of my district if I actually think that what I’m doing will be helpful.”
My question is “helpful to whom … Obama?”
If Health Care passes and you refuse to enroll in Obama’s “qualified health care” you will be fined thousands of dollars, while Obama and his family, the US Congress and their families, government employees [including teachers in government schools] and their families plus Obama’s Union friends will be exempt!
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) says the health care numbers proposed by Obama and the dems are inaccurate, lack any controls on massive spending, and will do far more damage than good. The Director Douglas Elmendorf said “we do not see the sort of fundamental changes that would be necessary to reduce the trajectory of federal health care spending by a significant amount, on the contrary, the legislation significantly expands the federal responsibility for health care costs”. This bill is not about compassion; it is not about my health or yours. Obama clearly intends to control and limit the American populace.
Obamacare has little to do with health care. In fact, it will eliminate private health care insurance (page 16 line 3-26) and ration health care (page 29 lines 4-16). Government committees can deny health care (page 30). And it gives the government direct and mandatory access to citizens bank accounts and personal info (page 59 lines 21-24), includes illegals (pages 50-51), mandatory death planning (pages 425-430), and includes mandatory “home visitations” [government employees] to tell couples how to raise their children.
In this bill, the government can audit books and close businesses who opt to continue private health care. It will issue a National Health Care Card. And, Health Choices Commissioners will choose your benefits. Plus, no company can sue the government for ‘price fixing’. There is no judicial review against a government monopoly. The government will reduce physicians services for medicaid. And, employers must auto enroll employees in the government plan.
The Dems defeated the Heller Amendment [and a dozen others] that would have prevented illegal immigrants from receiving government subsidized health care. They are already getting health care ahead of citizens (the emergency rooms in hospitals are overflowing with illegals getting free care). A Minnesota vet had to wait 18 months to see a doctor at the VA hospial, but refugees from Somalia can walk into any clinic at any time and see a doctor. US citizens that want to keep their current health care will be fined approximately $2,500 a year. Illegals will not be penalized.
Two of the agencies that patients must go through are ‘Office of Civil Rights” and “Office of Minority Heath”!
Pelosi and Obama insist on a public option — there is no “option”. Obamacare will destroy private health insurance. Once the insurance companies are out of the way, ObamaCare can move to rationing.
Leftist run governments like Venezuela and Cuba always take from the rich and middle class and redistribute it to themselves and the elites. The money is never distributed to the poor. These tyrannies bring the end to freedoms and liberty and they force poverty on citizens.
The Speaker calls town hall attendees “Nazis”. The Dictator in Chief tells us to “Shut Up”. Senator Schumer says “one way or another, the democrats will push health care reform through by the end of the year.”
The ‘barbs’ from the left, the bus loads of Obama thugs [Acorn, SEIU, & AFLCIO] at town halls, Obama’s ads on CraigsList for protesters, and the all out war that the radicals have declared on concerned citizens, show that they feel the heat of our dissent. We can not rest.
We must let them know “We’re mad as Hell and we aren’t going to take it anymore”. Continue the tea parties, the town halls, and marches. March right up to the White House. Take our protests to Washington DC. March in the streets. Make congress hear and understand.
If we allow Obama’s socialist agenda, ObamaCare, the localism, card check, Cap and Trade, and others to pass, we will have a tyranny and be forced to live or die at the whim of a dictator.
Let’s take back our country and our constitutional rule of law.
The powers granted to the federal government are limited for a reason — to retain liberty and freedom for the citizens and the states.
When the federal government infringes upon the rights of the states, it steals these freedoms and liberties. Several states are working on or considering legislation in their state legislatures to deny compliance with the federal health care laws and to restore their 9th and 10th amendment rights.
Let’s not wait for the Gestapo before taking a stand!
