We are living in perilous times, the survival of our nation hangs by a thread. The far-left Democrats and the Obama administration are trying to shove their socio-fascist agenda down our collective throats. Most of Obama’s policies are unconstitutional, BUT who is trying to stop him? The media and the left bow to their savior.
The Health Care Bill, unread by congress, reflects the influence of his radical friends.
John Holdren, the Science Czar, advocates forced abortions and compulsory sterilization through government tainting of the water supply. He suggests implanting sterility capsules in girls at puberty and removing them when and if they obtain permission from the government to have children. He believes there is ‘ample authority’ under the constitution for population control.
Add to this mix a Secretary of Health, Kathleen Sebelus, that believes in late-term abortions.
Mathew Staver, the founder of Liberty Counsel, and his organization did read the H.R. 3200 bill. He calls it the “Euthanasia Bill for America”. Under Section 163 the government would have access to individuals finances, including direct access to bank accounts for electronic funds transfers. In Section 1308 the government would dictate marriage/family therapy and mental health services. In Section 1401, a “Center for Comparative Effectiveness Research” will be set up. It would create a bureaucracy through which federal employees would determine if any treatment is ‘comparatively effective’ for an individual based on cost, likely success, and probable years left in life.
The plan allows for the collection of information about person’s health records both ‘published and unpublished’ and policies for public access to data. The plan also covers ‘abortion, transsexual surgeries, encourages counseling on how many children to have, and the interval between children.
Betsy McCaughey, an former New York state officer told Fred Thompson, a 2008 presidential candidate, that Section 1233 is ‘Advance Care Planning Consultation”. She said it is ‘no more or less than an attempt to convince seniors to die”.
On page 425, Congress will make it mandatory for seniors [people on medicare] to have a required counseling session every 5 years. It calls for the consultation to recommend ‘palliative care and hospice’ which generally focuses on pain relief until death. The measure requires ‘an explanation by the practitioner of the continuum of end-of-life services and supports available’.
McCaughey says such a program already is in effect in the United Kingdom where a patient losing their sight to age-related macular degeneration can not be given an eyesight saving medicine until they lose sight in one eye. McCaughey is a health policy expert. She founded HospitalInfection.org to stop hospital acquired infections and DefendYourHealthCare.us concerning the nationalization of health care.
Every citizen will be entered into a database which will ‘help’ government determine whether or not you deserve an operation that your own personal doctor thinks you need.
Liberty Counsel analysts say the government would be allowed to ration health care procedures, prevent ‘judicial review’ of it’s decision, tell doctors what incomes they can have, impose new taxes on anyone that doesn’t have ‘acceptable’ coverage, regulate whether seniors can have wheelchairs, penalize hospitals and doctors whose patients require re-admission, prevent expansion of hospitals, and set up procedures for home visits by health care analysts.
Section 440 will design and implement home visitation programs for families with young children or expect children. Section 194 has a program for the government to come into your home and teach you ‘to parent’. Tom Daschle says ’senior citizens should be more accepting of conditions that come with age’.
Daniel Hannan of the British Parliament has been in America warning people “don’t go down that road”. Jeff Conner, of the Washington Post, said his grandmother survived Germany’s concentration camps only to be killed by Canada’s Socialized Health Care. He came to America to escape it and has a brother who is a doctor in Canada that’s disgusted with their health care. The cancer that Senator Chris Dodd has is treatable here; in Canada it would be a death sentence.
Word has gotten out, the public is asking questions, going to tea parties, and attending town hall meetings. The liberal democrats are upset!
WE WERE NOT SUPPOSE TO BE INFORMED!
Some are canceling their town hall meetings. They have started a smear campaign against the citizens. One Senator said his life was threatened. Barbara Boxer thinks people are to well-dressed and must have been hired by insurance companies. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says we wear swastikas. Harry Reid said “We are going to reform health care in spite of the shrill voices and mob crowds”.
Obama doesn’t like the tables being turned. It was okay for ACORN to have fraudulent votes in most states and Black Panthers to swing nightsticks at the polls, BUT he has started a ’snitch program’ to report ‘fishy comments.
Some Republican Senators are fighting back. Senator John Cornyn is demanding that Obama stop the program or define how he will protect the privacy of those who are the subject of these emails.
Cornyn says “at least I request that you detail to congress the protocols that the White House is following to purge the name, email addresses, IP addresses, and identities of citizens who are reported to have engaged in ‘fishy’ speech.” He also asked Obama how he intends to notify citizens who have been reported.
Apparently the [unreported by media] town hall meetings are a success as people are going out, asking questions, or just chanting ‘just say no’. They have not been unruly, nor do we need be. That plays right into the hands of the radicals.
But, we do need to continue. If your representative doesn’t have a meeting scheduled, call him/her. Ask when you can see them; go to their offices. Be proud Americans. Be polite, but be heard. That is what a Republic is all about.
If we lose on Health Care and/or on Cap and Trade, WE THE PEOPLE could be in the streets protesting the next election just as the people in Iran were … being shot, beaten, and arrested.
H.R. 239 will add a billion dollars to the deficit and it will leave 17 million people still uninsured. The Senate bill will still leave 36 million people uninsured. The entire ‘reason’ for reform was to cover the uninsured. Make no mistake; this health care is not about compassion … it is a massive power grab.
Congress could pass three laws that would ease the burden of health care. First, make a person show a national ID before treating them … we have carried the illegals too long and they have bankrupted the system. Second, put a cap on what a person suing a doctor can collect in court. Doctor’s malpractice insurance is astronomical. Third, allow insurance company’s to compete across state lines. Competition lowers costs.
