California attorney Orly Taitz, who has filed a number of lawsuits demanding proof of Barack Obama’s eligibility to serve as president, has released a copy of what purports to be a Kenyan certification of birth and has filed a new motion in U.S. District Court for its authentication.
The alleged certificate bears the signature of the deputy registrar of Coast Province, Joshua Simon Couya. It was allegedly issued as a certified copy of the original in February 1964.
WorldNetDaily was able to obtain other birth certificates from Kenya for purposes of comparison, and the form of the documents appear to be identical.

This document can be cross-checked by looking at the Birth Register of Coast Province, Republic of Kenya, Book 44B, Page 5733.
You can bet this document will be getting a LOT of attention in the next few days.
Since it was dated February 17, 1964, this document must have been presented as a part of his parent’s divorce proceedings. The Divorce was filed for on January 20, 1964; and, it was awarded by a judge on March 20, 1964.

Rey: Indeed, Kenya did officially become the Republic of Kenya on December 12, 1964. However, Kenya became independent on December 12, 1963.
Most organizations and/or corporations start changing wording prior to official changes because it makes the transition easier. It stands to reason that they would start putting “Republic of Kenya” on papers before it was officially so.
In fact, Kenya adopted its current national flag, its constitution, and its national anthem on December 12, 1963. The plan to become a Republic was declared exactly one year prior to the actual enactment: Kenya.
That being said, this does not discredit the birth certificate. Nonetheless, neither of us are forensic document examiners. And, to me, it appears more legit than the two fake BC’s that have been presented as his Hawaii BC’s.
Just another kooky right-wing trick. What a bunch of nuts.
Mark: If you can cogently explain why Obama refuses to release his original birth certificate and ANY of his college records from Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard … i’ll concede that your “kooky right-wing trick” accusation has merits.
Until then, i’ll remain curious wondering WHY he PREVENTS disclosure of such documents that every other President has revealed. Either he is hiding something or he WANTS to create a conspiracy theory.
