When the man convicted of murdering 270 people by blowing up Pan Am flight 103 two decades ago over Lockerbie, Scotland, was released, many in this country were rightfully outraged. On December 21st, 1988, 243 passengers, 16 crew members, and 11 people on the ground were murdered. Of these, 180 were Americans; 60 of them children.
The bomber, Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, returned to Libya on August 20th with much fanfare enjoying a “compassionate release” due to his imminent demise from cancer. He had served 8 years of a 27-year sentence. Moreover, he was given an unfathomable level of compassion that beyond outrage, has sparked even more controversy. (video below)
On Monday’s Sean Hannity show (August 31st), political strategist Dick Morris described Obama as “politically inept”. He added that the President is good at “charisma politics”, but not “issue politics”.
The Tucson area Tea Party Coalition held a townhall healthcare meeting at Rincon High School in Tucson on Friday (August 28th). Over 1,000 people showed up at the event … including one violent counter-protester.
The ObamaCare supporter loudly interrupted the meeting immediately after a TPD officer thanked the group for always being civil and law-abiding at their events. The event protester shouted over our panelists incessantly and, when approached, hit one of the attendees in the face with his elbow. The man who was assaulted kept his cool and TPD promptly removed the protester from the auditorium.
Two local TV stations covered the town hall event, KOLD13 and KGUN9. The following video clip is from KGUN9.
This video was taken on Tuesday (August 25th) at Representative Jim Moran’s (D-VA) town hall meeting on ObamaCare held at South Lakes High School in Reston, VA.
Many people were left outside when the school filled to capacity. School security officer Wesley Cheeks, Jr. did not like a protester’s anti-ObamaCare poster which used one of the viral “Joker” graphics.
Officer Cheeks, a security officer employed by the Fairfax County Public Schools, told some town hall protesters to put away their signs or he’ll “charge them with trespassing or whatever he wants.”
Then, when a protester said to Officer Cheeks, “This used to be America!” his response was: “It ain’t no more, OK?”
On Wednesday (August 26th) before he addressed a Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce luncheon, Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) openly wished for the Las Vegas Review-Journal to “go out of business” … a newspaper which has held opposing political viewpoints with the Senator.
The comment came when Bob Brown, the Journal’s Director of Advertising met with Reid during the simple process of handshaking. Reid exclaimed to Brown: “I hope you go out of business.”
To their credit, the Journal did not take this bullying tactic lying down. Today, publisher Sherman Frederick posted an Op-Ed column in which he called Reid’s tactics childish, ugly, boorish, creepy, and asinine.
Senator Mike Enzi (R-WY) of Wyoming delivered the weekly Republican address Saturday on the loss of Senator Kennedy and the importance of getting health care reform done right.
Senator Enzi discussed how the Democrats are rushing a health reform bill through congress that will ultimately “raid Medicare”, raise costs and increase the deficit.
And, he urged lawmakers to listen to what the American people are saying and scrap the Democrats’ current plan in order to “enact common sense reform that will actually cut costs.”
Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, a popular American comedy duo during the 1940s and 50s, performed a number crowd pleasing skits. Even today, their “Who’s On First” skit is still well known.
Another of their famous skits, “Union Loafers”, would probably be considered “politically incorrect” by today’s far-left activists. Nonetheless, the humor of this comedic routine seems to be an appropriate reminder since looming on the horizon is the “card check” scheme to end private unionization ballots.
In this one, Abbott gets a loafing job at a bakery and Costello can’t understand that he gets paid for it.
BOND Action, Inc. (Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny), a national cultural action organization, has come out in support of FOX News Channel broadcaster Glenn Beck. Beck has been under attack from the radical left-wing group ColorOfChange.org after he said last month that he believes President Obama is “a racist.”
“Glenn Beck is right, Obama is a racist!” added Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, BOND founder and president. “Where were the boycotts and outraged activists when President George W. Bush was being falsely maligned as a ‘racist’? This is a blatant double standard. This boycott is an attempt to silence Beck from continuing his exposé of Barack Obama’s socialist agenda and his radical ‘green jobs czar’ Van Jones.”
The North Carolina Supreme Court ruled Friday (August 28th) that a 2004 law that bars convicted felons from having a gun, even within their own home or business, is unconstitutional.
The state’s high court ruled in the case of Barney Britt of Wake County that the General Assembly went too far five years ago when it toughened restrictions on felons owning guns as part of a broad anti-domestic-violence bill.
Diane Watson is a racist Congressional Representative from California’s 33rd District, in Los Angeles. Just over a year ago, she chastised Ward Connerly for his having the nerve to wed a white woman.
She’s telling us now that the only opponents of Barack Obama and his move to socialize America are those who object to socialism because, in her words, “[Barack is] the first President who looks like me.”
In the same breath, she sings the praises of Marxist murderer Che Guevara and Marxist murderer Fidel Castro (who ousted Che).
A Senate bill, S-773, would offer President Obama emergency control of the Internet and may give him authority to shut down online traffic by seizing private networks.
Details of a revised version of the CyberSecurity Act of 2009 emerged late Thursday (August 27th), months after an initial version authored by Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV). The original version was highly criticized in Silicon Valley as a dangerous government intrusion.
The new version of the CyberSecurity Act of 2009 changes the wording to allow the President to “declare a cyber-security emergency” relating to “non-governmental” computer networks. As with the original bill, however, the revised bill does not explain what a cyber-security emergency is.
In the final episode of a record-breaking ratings week, Glenn Beck presented an inspiring music video produced by his staff on Friday. He simply entitled it “A 912 Music Video.”
From King George to the 911 Terrorists to the current attempt at a socialist takeover of our country by the non-representing Congress and marxist Administration, WE have been underestimated. In each case, the purveyors of tyranny failed to recognize the will of the American people. After watching this video, you may be more inclined to name it “We Have Been Underestimated Before.”
In his Morning Update today, Rush Limbaugh offered a few tips for job hunting liberals. He started off by pointing out that “rules of work” may be a foreign concept to libs.
One advice tip was “Companies do not hire you so that you can make money and have health care. They hire you for the work you produce … so that they can earn profits.”
Another helpful instruction was “Companies do not hire you to offer free broadband service to Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, or to line up dates. They expect actual productivity from you.”

At a town hall meeting Wednesday night (August 26th) in Chickasha, Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK) told constituents, “People are not buying these concepts that are completely foreign to America. We’re almost reaching a revolution in this country.”
Regarding ObamaCare, Inhofe added “I don’t have to read it, or know what’s in it. I’m going to oppose it anyways.”
Inhofe has been one of the Senate’s most vocal opponents of climate legislation and the government takeover of health care.
On Tuesday (August 25th) Representative Jim Moran (D-VA) held a health care town hall meeting at South Lakes High School in Reston, Virginia. Howard Dean, former Democratic National Committee chairman, also delivered remarks. (video below)
Apparently, many Democrats are starting to come unhinged at the pressure of citizens making their voices heard. Moran demanded that a man opposed to ObamaCare show his ID before he would allow him to ask a question. The crowd cheered as the questioner told Moran “You’re the Imposter!” and “Let me see your ID.”
In this video, comedian Tim Hawkins presents his latest humorous parody, “The Government Can” song. It’s sung to the tune of “The Candy Man Can”, made popular in the early 70’s by “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory” and Sammy Davis, Jr.
Ezekiel, if you don’t know, is the older brother of the statist Rahm Emanuel, and recently Ezekiel got his feelings hurt.
In an interview he just gave the Associated Press, Monday (August 24th), Ezekiel said this:
“I’m completely dumbfounded. I’ve been in academic disputes before, but I never thought I’d be disparaged on Sunday morning talk shows and in the papers, being distorted in ways that can only be described as willful and intentional.”
What Ezekiel Emanuel is referring to here is what that same AP article describes as The sometimes ugly health care debate [which] has dragged Ezekiel Emanuel very reluctantly into the spotlight, as opponents of Obama’s proposed reform have seized on snippets of his past writings to bolster their charge that he and the administration advocate a system where bureaucrats — on what former Gov. Sarah Palin has famously called “death panels” — would play God, ruling on whether ailing Grandma deserves medical care. The accusations have been widely debunked as distortions of Emanuel’s and the administration’s views. Still, they persist, leaving Emanuel both stunned and hurt.
You see, it’s tough being a eugenicist. If you doubt that, just watch Ezekiel squirm like the worm that he is under this historian’s searing testimony:
On Wednesday (August 26th), Glenn Beck spoke with Rush Limbaugh about efforts by the Obama administration to silence their critics, particularly talk radio. Rush stated that Obama does not want to debate his opponents, he wants to get rid of them. Beck and Rush also discussed Mark Lloyd, Obama’s diversity czar.

On August 19th, Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) held a town hall meeting in Bakersfield. He was asked why the Congress was allowing President Obama to create all the “Czars”. Just before he answered, there were shouts from the audience of “He’s a communist!” McCarthy smiled.
He answered the question by saying he did not believe Obama had the right to appoint these “Czars” and give them powers that encroach on the “Checks and Balances” the Constitution requires.
