I have family in the health care industry, they are not looking forward to this very expensive Øbama Care!
Many will be neglected and suffer for this CHANGE.
If this new health care is so great, why not let Congress try it out for a year before the big change.

When you get a chance, shake-off the dust sometime from your passports and travel throughout the world. You’ll notice that of the 90 indutrialized countries out there, the U.S., UK and Canada rank at the bottom for healthcare. They are also the most bankrupt from useless healthcare costs. On the other hand, healthcare in the other 87 countries is not even an issue, as it should be in a civilised country. Check it out sometime and have a nice vacation too while your out there.
I dont think the issue is “Do we have the best health care?”. Infact, we are debating this bill.
Our current healthcare compared to other countries right now, is irrelevant.
We need to be debating the pile of shit that is put before us. Either we love, or we hate it.
I dont believe America has the SINGLE best healthcare system in the world. We have probably the best technology and funding. But the system isnt the best.
That being said, I DO NOT WANT THIS SOCIALIST HEALTHCARE! Even assuming the government had our best interests at heart (you know they dont) how many more people will die under this system, while wading through the newly created MILES OF REDTAPE!
Yes, people die waiting with our current system. But this WILL BE 10 TIMES WORSE.
And you know what? There will be no repercussions for neglect, criminal or otherwise.

Indeed, JOS, our system needs tweaking. We need some health care reform. On that point, i think we ALL agree. (However, the President’s position is that a little reform is tantamount to no reform.)
We do NOT need to completely transmogrify the entire system in order to smooth out some rough edges.
Who among us would trade their current car for a new one simply because it was low on gas and had a flat tire … particularly when that new car was completely untested?

What it actually says is, Any “Household” earning in excess of $350,000 per year, will pay additional taxes. With individuals, Any”one” earning in excess of $175,000 per year, will pay additional taxes. You need to read this more carefully. This is clearly below the Obama $250,000 threshold.
Proof: (($175,00 = $350,000 x 50%) < $250,000) = B.O.’s ability to keep his promise to not raise taxes on the middle class. This math only works with people who still believe 2 + 2 = 4, others will disagree.
Conclusion: (What they are telling you.) /= (What they are doing.)

Roger: In this section you mention which is entitled “SURCHARGE ON HIGH INCOME INDIVIDUALS”, nowhere is the word “household” mentioned.
However, you are correct that is does, in fact, specifically state as you mention the 50% for a married individual filing a separate return. And, this does violate Obama’s ongoing promise to not raise taxes on individuals earning less than $250K as this would apply to those earning $175K per annum.
