Yep, right choice. I wonder if those who voted for Republican senators feel the same. Since January they've done everything they can to wreck the U.S. economy.

Surely there is not a case to be made that McCain ("the economy is sound") could have done better.

I hope America survives.

There's not a shred of evidence that Obama was ever a "member" of the socialist New Party. Read the document. It says they endorsed him. It says they were happy he got elected. It says they spoke with him. It doesn't say he was a member.

Nor have you provided any evidence to suggest that, whatever it's status, it would be considered a "communist" organization that might raise the hackles of the FBI. As a pragmatic matter, Obama has already been vetted by the FBI and Homeland Security. Obama doesn't get the keys to the intelligence kingdom merely by election -- he must be screened first, like everybody else. Especially since we know Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate after the World Trade Center attacks, after all security rules were tightened, you'd have to make a case that Obama was denied a security clearance <i>as a starting point</i> for claiming he is anything other than a flag-waving, Yankee Doodle Dandy, patriotic American.

That case has not been made.

<blockquote>"I hope Hannity is aware of this!! He seems like the only honest media person willing to tell the facts like they are!!"</blockquote>

You're referring to Sean Hannity... From Fox News...

Ed Darrell and others like him:

Re: Obambi, the reincarnation of FDR,Kennedy,Jesus,Lincoln, etc.

senate foreign relations committee/so what ? You get in there as a senator.(more lower down)

Constitution: spent his own money to get 2nd ammendment changed through 3rd party lobbyists & failed

financial plans - he supported the CRA vigorously. blathers on about WIND (kills birds, need thousands of acres &tons of steel) blathers on about tax cuts

competition in privatization will die. see: crumbling subways, bridges, etc.public schools rife with stupid social agendas need more ?

hello - poor don't support rich here. rich are greedy but basically poor support those even poorer with Obambi, lower middle class will support welfare mothers, health care we dont want cuz its not our choice
and will not be adequate. service will be poor and disorganized like transport, schools, etc. my advice:learn herbology , go hiking and move out of the city or die in a city run hospital

vetting: WE ALL KNOW about BHO and Alinsky, Odinga, New Party endorsement, Ayers, Rezko,Wright,Raines,Johnston,Davis,CAIR and Shariah law, Constitution"flawed", PUHLEEZ !!etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.ad nauseum. if the stupid Senate accepted all this it dosn't mean its right or AMERICAN, it means they were hung by their own noose and couldn't PROVE anything.

there isn't any such thing as Christian hate radio. you just dont like their opinions. want hate? listen to Olbermann

i think you need to research details about O's attitudes toward the Armed Forces and his one world philosophy. also study history.

btw, Reagan helped end the cold war.

Black Liberation Theology a la Michelle is not appropriate for a leader. get ready to have Farrakhan unleashed full strength. already 15 ft. photos of DIDDY in Macys in NYC. Farrie's next...he's WAY cool.

who cares when Rivera gets in. they will go after all dissent in due time because they want total control. so this is worse than the misdeeds of the past flawed repubs. lets not waterboard them but instead, set them loose on the American public ! did you see the whining article in the Daily News about the poor starving terrorist "suspect" arrested for plotting to BLOW UP JFK AIRPORT !!!!!!! wE SHOULD BE SORRY FOR HIM!!!HE ISN'T GETTING THREE SQUARES !!!!

non brain dead of the world, unite !

Oh, btw, there's a new Thanksgiving Day balloon planned.......
you guessed it.........
(actually it's a SMURF, RELAX !!! ;D )

Have you gone to Wikipedia to look up the word "Obambo"?

An obambo is a type of ghost among certain peoples of Central Africa.

An obambo initially resides in the bush, but eventually gets tired of this and appears to a close relative, requesting that he build a house for him near his own. That night the village women are gathered to dance and sing, and next day the people visit the grave of the deceased and make a rough idol. They then erect a little hut near the house of the person the obambo visited, and put inside the bier on which the deceased was carried to his grave, as well as some of the dust from the grave. A white cloth is then draped over the door.

An alternative meaning is the ghost of somebody who died in the bush and has no grave.

<blockquote>Ed Darrell, Fairness Doctrine coming June 2009 or sooner with Obama’s selection of Henry Rivera for his FCC transition advisor. Rivera will swing the FCC vote to 3-2 in favor of ending conservative and christian radio.</blockquote>

The transition team can't speed vacancies at the FCC. FCC is an independent agency, with commissioners serving set terms of five years. Rivera has not been appointed to a term, and cannot "swing" a vote. Christian radio existed under the old fairness doctrine -- whatever makes you think it can't be done fairly? Christian hate radio may have some difficulty. Good. It does no one any favor, especially Christians.

But again, I note you attribute changes that cannot be made under law, by methods that are illegal or impossible.

<blockquote>Regarding our economy … to me, it’s up for grabs just who will shove us over the cliff first … Bush-backed bailouts, congressional bailouts, Obama handouts, or congressional handouts. Future generations will look back in utter disgust at our current and upcoming government unless they STOP repeating the SAME mistakes that caused the Great Depression of ‘29.</blockquote>

Where did you get off on that tangent?

If you have the answer for the economy, please share. Alan Greenspan admitted that the assumptions he had been working under for the previous 60 years, which include the longest expansion in the history of the nation, were wrong. Are you smarter than Greenspan? Tell us the solutions.

<blockquote>Cutting our national defense … maybe you need to hear Obama tell you himself. The following video is Obama … not a consummate imposter … telling us that he intends to defund and disarm our military particularly including technological advances.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fU4sVQV3Lhk </blockquote>

Nothing in that video says he intends to "defund and disarm our military." Maybe you're one of those nuts who thinks that George Lucas's Star Wars were real -- but that's a poor reason to continue throwing money after expensive, disproven technologies. Star Wars was one of the hugest errors of the Reagan administration, and it was stupid of Bush to revive it. Killing it would leave more money to do what President Carter did, build the military into the top equipped, top trained military in the world. The weapons that won Gulf War I were not Reagan's Star Wars phantasms, but the hardware that President Carter had ordered. Sadly, we're still functioning on the Carter technology. Obama understands that our fighting people need the best, and that Obi Wan Kenobi is not going to save our military at any price. You should realize that, too.

<blockquote>Regarding tax cuts (alias taking from the financially succesful and donating the spoils to the less fortunate) …</blockquote>

It beats taking from the poor to give to the rich, which is the system we have now. Obama proposes tax justice. There are a lot of millionaires running justifiably scared, but there are more who realize that a just and fair tax system is better for us all, ultimately. It's the moral thing to do.

<blockquote> Obama started at 250K … then he lowered it to 200K … then Biden lowered it to 150K. </blockquote>

That's pure fiction. Didn't happen.

<blockquote>But, let me ASSURE you that when you impose greater taxes on those who own businesses and the businesses themselves, two ordeals will unfold FORTHWITH. First, they will increase prices to the end-consumer for their products and services. Second, they will lay off employees to balance the books.</blockquote>

Economists for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce always make that claim. They've never been able to back it up with real numbers. Oddly, Obama had greater support among people in that above-$250,000 income category than McCain. Justice appeals even to the very rich.

<blockquote>In short, taking from the rich and giving to the poor may sound good on the surface. But, the reality is that the rich WILL survive while the higher prices and increased unemployment will cost FAR MORE than the stipends wrenched from the grip of the wealthy.</blockquote>

Taking from the poor to give to the rich is exactly the system that prompted the Great Depression. Obama may be too late to save us on that score -- the damage is so great. But morally, at least, it's a better idea to make the rich pay their fair share and reduce the tax burden of the poor and near-poor, and middle class.

Arthur Laffer also has never been able to provide numbers to back his Laffer Curve. As we saw in the past 8 years, Laffer was wrong.

<blockquote>Ed Darrell, perhaps before you quaff your next big gulp of Obamalicious Kool-Aid, you could share with us the unbiased links online which validate that Obama was, in fact, vetted by the FBI.</blockquote>

It's called "standard Senate procedure." Every Member of Congress gets checked for clearances before they're sworn in. Not sure where you'll find the procedure spelled out, but you might want to check the Rules Committees or the FBI's organic law.

It's bizarre that you claim he's got disqualifications, without a whit of evidence, and that you're completely unaware of standard procedures that any common sense American would impose on our elected officials who deal with our nation's secrets -- and then you demand citations from me.

But then, I don't expect someone to use reason to give up a position not reached by reason.

<blockquote> And, if you could be ever so kind as to share with … us here unlearnt right-wing nutjobs a clingin’ to our guns and bibles … what was Mr. Obama’s security clearance level before his candidacy announcement? What is it now? Keep it simple for us; we don’t have your laudable predilection for erudite study … ooops … i mean we’s not as smart and educated as you are in your brilliant nuanced insights.</blockquote>

Don't know why you're so hard on yourself -- unless that's a confession. Obama's a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. NATO is part of his charge, there. The Senate isn't full of "unlearnt . . . nutjobs . . . not as smart and educated." They aren't stupid, and they don't put senators into those positions if they can't get clearance.

I can't tell you where I first learned that, but I knew it well years before I ever worked there.

No nuance, just fact. As John Adams observed, facts are stubborn things.

Don’t know why you’re so hard on yourself — unless that’s a confession. Obama’s a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. NATO is part of his charge, there. The Senate isn’t full of “unlearnt . . . nutjobs . . . not as smart and educated.” They aren’t stupid, and they don’t put senators into those positions if they can’t get clearance.

I can’t tell you where I first learned that, but I knew it well years before I ever worked there.

No nuance, just fact. As John Adams observed, facts are stubborn things.

Ed Darrell, perhaps before you quaff your next big gulp of Obamalicious Kool-Aid, you could share with us the unbiased links online which validate that Obama was, in fact, vetted by the FBI. And, if you could be ever so kind as to share with ... us here unlearnt right-wing nutjobs a clingin' to our guns and bibles ... what was Mr. Obama's security clearance level before his candidacy announcement? What is it now? Keep it simple for us; we don't have your laudable predilection for erudite study ... ooops ... i mean we's not as smart and educated as you are in your brilliant nuanced insights.

Ed Darrell, Fairness Doctrine coming June 2009 or sooner with Obama's selection of Henry Rivera for his FCC transition advisor. Rivera will swing the FCC vote to 3-2 in favor of ending conservative and christian radio.

Regarding our economy ... to me, it's up for grabs just who will shove us over the cliff first ... Bush-backed bailouts, congressional bailouts, Obama handouts, or congressional handouts. Future generations will look back in utter disgust at our current and upcoming government unless they STOP repeating the SAME mistakes that caused the Great Depression of '29.

Cutting our national defense ... maybe you need to hear Obama tell you himself. The following video is Obama ... not a consummate imposter ... telling us that he intends to defund and disarm our military particularly including technological advances.

Regarding tax cuts (alias taking from the financially succesful and donating the spoils to the less fortunate) ... Obama started at 250K ... then he lowered it to 200K ... then Biden lowered it to 150K. But, let me ASSURE you that when you impose greater taxes on those who own businesses and the businesses themselves, two ordeals will unfold FORTHWITH. First, they will increase prices to the end-consumer for their products and services. Second, they will lay off employees to balance the books.

In short, taking from the rich and giving to the poor may sound good on the surface. But, the reality is that the rich WILL survive while the higher prices and increased unemployment will cost FAR MORE than the stipends wrenched from the grip of the wealthy.
